What is forwarding (or bypassing) as a technique to mitigate data hazards?
Forwarding (or Bypassing) is a hardware technique to resolve Data Hazards without stalling the pipeline. The result of an instruction is sent from an intermediate pipeline stage (like the Execute or Memory stage) directly back to an earlier stage that needs it (like the Instruction Decode stage), bypassing the register file and avoiding the need to wait until the result is officially written back.
