What is Virtual Memory?
Virtual Memory is an operating system and hardware technique that separates a program's logical address space (the virtual addresses it uses) from physical memory (RAM). This allows a program to use an address space much larger than the physical RAM available, and it simplifies memory management by allowing physical memory to be non-contiguous.
